A new "Building kit" piece. This work is a kind of building kit that consists of separate, completely different canvases, each of those seems to be a part of some other unknown whole. But this "whole" does not exist anywhere in reality, or rather, does not exist as a separate "whole" for each element, but only in the form of a mess we call "world". In fact, every modern person is a temporary unique combination of parts of such a nonexistent whole.

"Airplane", oil on canvas, 24x30 cm.

"Head", oil on canvas, 50x30 cm.

"Nothing to wear", oil on canvas, 93x60 cm.

"Body", oil on canvas, 33x46 cm.

Submarines

Today I was supposed to be in Moscow, Russia, at the opening of our group exhibition "Submarines". Well, this year many things haven't gone the way we planned. But there's still the opening today, though online on Park Gallery's website. And here's my part.

One-Artwork-One-Visitor Gallery

As all exhibitions have been postponed and the whole artlife seems to be paused, I decided to show my current artworks in a safe and isolated one-visitor gallery.

This particular work is inspired by the 15-Puzzle and consists of 15 canvas (30x30 cm each) that together add up to an image of a naked female body. However, the 15-Puzzle format allows them to be mixed, which opens up wide possibilities for the experiment and provides an opportunity to make new combinations.

My plan is to make a small 15-Puzzle with the same image and put it on the wall beside the original, so the visitors (wenn we're back to normal life) could try to reassemble the picture (or to create their own combinations).
